Heavy Rainfall in Delhi

The rainfall recorded ranged from 89.3mm at Safdarjung Observatory to 104.2mm on Lodhi Road (Times of India news item). At this rate, New Delhi will start looking like Cherrapunji!

With Pakistan's devastating floods and Kashmir's washout in flash floods hardly weeks before, the movie Day After Tomorrow introductory scene (beginning with heavy snowing in New Delhi) looms large in our minds.

Does anyone still care about the (pun intended) BIG PICTURE anymore?
